Full Wave Rectifier Using Diode - theoretical and derivation discussion of it's characteristics Definition: The full wave rectifier circuit is a rectifier circuit, which converts an ac voltage to dc voltage. These circuits are called full wave rectifier because it generates output of full cycle for input of full cycle. No input cycle is wasted. Full wave rectifier (circuit diagram 1) Input and output waveform of full wave rectifier (circuit diagram 1) Full wave rectifier (circuit diagram 2) Input and output waveform of half wave rectifier (circuit diagram 2) Working principal: For both circuit Vin is input voltage. Output is Vout. T is step down center tapped transformer. n1 is the turn ratio of primary coil and n2 are the turn ratio of secondary coils of transformer. A diode D1(or D2) is placed between for both Vn2 and Vout. Voltage drop at diodes are Vd1 and Vd2. R is load resistor. Input voltage is applied in primary coil of transformer. This volta...

Half Wave Rectifier Circuit Using Op amp Simulation Using LTspice Definition: The half wave rectifier circuit is a rectifier circuit, which converts an ac voltage to dc voltage. These circuits are called half wave rectifier because it generates output of half cycle for input of full cycle. Another half cycle is wasted. Positive half wave rectifier Input and output waveform of positive half wave rectifier Negative half wave rectifier Input and output waveform of negative half wave rectifier Working principal: For both circuit Vin  is input voltage applied to non inverting terminal of OP AMP. Output is Vout,  feedback to inverting terminal of OP AMP. Open loop output is Vo' . Closed loop connection is formed by connecting a diode (D) between Vo'  and Vout . Voltage drop at diode is  Vd. R is load resistor.  For positive half wave rectifier, when Vin is positive diode is forward biased i.e. diode is on, it closes the feedback loo...
